DR. SERVEY BIO

Jessica Servey, MD, MHPE, FAAFP is the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Professor of Family Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.  She has held several positions in academic medicine to include Associate Program Director Family Medicine Residency, Transitional Residency Program Director, Family Medicine Clerkship Director and Associate Dean for Faculty Development. She completed 26 years of service in the United States Air Force before retiring in 2017.    She earned her medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Science and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Eglin Air Force Base.  She completed a Faculty Development Fellowship in 2003 from Michigan State University, an Educational Leadership Fellowship in 2008 from Keck School of Medicine, and her Master of Health Professions Education in 2018 from the University of Michigan.  She also has additional certifications in Coaching and Emotional Intelligence testing.

Dr. Servey continues to practice full scope Family Medicine and continues to teach medical students in all four years of the curriculum.  She has given more than 1100  faculty development workshops in her career, and mentors individual and groups of faculty throughout the year. Her current goals are ensuring all academic faculty are valued, transparency in academic medicine, leadership training, and as a family doc – delivering needed care to all people.
