MG(R) Jeff Clark MD, MPH, MSS, FAAFP
Sue and Jeff Clark have been married for 42 years and served in multiple stateside and overseas assignments and deployments during their 35-year career; they now live in Santa Fe, NM. They have three married children, three granddaughters, and a golden doodle. Jeff, a Family Medicine Physician, was privileged to serve in the Army at many levels of our Military Health System, including Division Surgeon, 82d ABN; Commander, LRMC; Director, WRNMMC; J3 and HCO, DHA; and retiring as US Army MEDCOM Deputy Commander for Operations and Chief of the Medical Corps. He is honored to continue to serve our MHS as a member of the WarDocs Team.

Brig Gen (Ret) Susan Pietrykowski MBA, FACHE
Susan “Pie” Pietrykowski enjoyed a distinguished career in the Air Force Medical Service. Highlights of her career include a 6-month deployment in 2010 in Balad, Iraq, and serving as the Medical Group Commander at both Ellsworth AFB (2012-2015) and USAF Hospital Langley (2015-2017). Pie retired out of the Air Force Surgeon General’s office as the 21st Medical Service Corps Chief and Director of Manpower, Personnel, and Resources in 2021. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Health Net Federal Services (HNFS), a subsidiary of Centene Corporation. Pie has three master’s degrees in Business Administration, Military Operational Art and Science, and National Security Strategy. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Pie currently serves as the Secretary of the WarDocs Board of Directors

COL Wayne Causey, MD
Wayne is a Vascular Surgeon at Brooke Army Medical Center and is the current OTSG Army consultant for vascular surgery and has been the Vascular Surgery Service Chief. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, and completed his medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He finished his general surgery residency at Madigan and his fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of California at San Francisco. In addition to being a father of four, he enjoys playing the piano and mentoring the youth at his church.

CAPT (Ret) Kristen Atterbury, DHSc, MPA, MBA, RN, NEA-BC
Kristen served 30 years in the United States Navy and retired at the rank of CAPT. Dr. Atterbury received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Graceland University, Master of Public Administration in Healthcare from Troy University, Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Columbia Southern University, and Doctoral Degree in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University. She is board certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive and Public and Community Health Nurse. She is currently the Chief Nursing Officer for the Defense Health Agency.

CMSgt (Ret) Steve Cum
Steve performed over 30 years of active-duty service in the Air Force Medical Service. During this period, he has served in all levels of healthcare as a front-line medic, Independent Duty Medical Technician, paramedic, special operations medic, and as the 8th Chief of Medical Enlisted Force. Steve and his wife Chanda enjoy spending time with their family and currently live in Orlando. They all enjoy traveling, cruising, and love to visit all of the theme parks. Steve is currently employed by the Orlando VA Healthcare Systems as their Strategic Planner.

LTC Kevin Kniery, MD
Kevin is a Vascular Surgeon at Brooke Army Medical Center. He started two popular surgical podcasts; Behind The Knife - The Surgery Podcast, and Audible Bleeding - The Vascular Surgery Podcast. He is an avid podcast listener, an endurance sport enthusiast, and a father. He went to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, for his undergraduate degree and Tulane for his MD and MPH. He completed his general surgery residency training at Madigan AMC and his vascular fellowship at a combined program between Cornell and Columbia in New York City.

Maj Gen (Ret) Sean Murphy, MD
Sean lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife Karen. They have two married children and two granddaughters. He graduated from the AFA in 1981, the Uniformed Services University in 1984, Pediatrics in 1988 and the National War College in 2003. They enjoyed many overseas and continental US assignments and loved them all because they have always understood that “Happiness is a Choice”. Sean retired out of Washington D.C. as the AF Deputy Surgeon General in 2021. He is passionate about giving back what he can to the Joint Military forces that he so proudly served. Supporting War Docs is one of those passions.

MAJ Lindsey Umlauf, DPT, MBA, MHA, FACHE
Lindsey is a U.S. Army Physical Therapist, currently serves as the Director of the Strategic Actions Group at the Medical Center of Excellence in San Antonio, TX. Commissioned in 2010 through the Army-Baylor Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, she also holds an MHA and MBA from Baylor University. Her assignments include clinical leadership roles at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center, and a deployment with Special Operations Joint Task Force-Afghanistan. Lindsey lives in San Antonio with her husband, Jon Umlauf (also an Army PT), her stepson, Wyatt, and their mini-goldendoodle, Chewy.

CMDCM (Ret) Tyrone Willis
Tyrone retired from a notable active-duty career completing 32 years of naval service.
He has held several senior enlisted positions at all levels, retiring as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Defense Health Agency, Capital Region Directorate. He has deployed several times around the world including Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom with Marines and sailors. He received his BS and MBA from Grantham University. He is currently employed at the Uniformed Service University of Health Sciences as a Recruitment Specialist for Diversity. He has been married for 28 years and has 3 adult children and one daughter-in-law. He enjoys youth outreach and church mission trips around the world.

COL(R) Douglas W. Soderdahl, MD
Doug is a Urologist who retired at the rank of COL from the Army in June 2021 after 38 years in uniform (30 on Active Duty). He attended Wheaton College and then graduated from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed his urology training at Madigan AMC and an Endourology Fellowship at EVMS. He has deployed twice and has held various titles in his career, including Commander, Program Director, Surgeon in Chief, and Army Urology Consultant to the Army Surgeon General. He's been married for 34 years and has four adult children. He loves the outdoors, his rescue dog, a good cup of coffee, and trying to injure himself on a mountain bike. He enjoys retirement, taking full advantage of the local Early Bird Specials and studying advanced Pickleball strategy.
