Dr. Czarnik is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Surgeon of US Army Special Operations Command


In this episode we continue our conversation with Dr. Czarnik as he describes some memorable cases he had as a military Emergency Medicine Physician. He talks about the critical role medics play in supporting the military health system both deployed and in garrison. They are truly the “first responders” on the battlefield. Ten years of Special Operations experience took a toll on Jim both at work and at home. He talks about dealing with PTSD and developing resilience in challenging situations.
